Today, March 2, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has raised its dollar-based wire rod prices by $25-35/mt compared to its previous announcement on Monday, February 28, against the backdrop of currency fluctuations and the positive sentiment in the import scrap and billet segments. Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod is currently at $890/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $855/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $880/mt ex-works.

Wire rod prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
