Wire rod export prices from Turkey to the international markets have remained stable over the past week at $630-640/mt FOB. Due to the uncertainty created by the 25 percent tariff imposed in the US on steel imports within the scope of the Section 232 probe, trading activity in the global markets is observed to be slow as buyers are in no rush to conclude new deals. As their orders books are on the full side, Turkish wire rod mills are finding it difficult to supply products for dates specified by domestic buyers. Accordingly, their wire rod offers to both domestic and international buyers are foreseen to trend at high levels.
