Turkey’s local and export wire rod prices soften

Due to lower scrap quotations and the weakness of demand, domestic wire rod prices in Turkey have mostly decreased by $5/mt week on week, except of İskenderun where prices have indicated a $5/mt fall only on the lower end. Currently, the prices for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude 18 percent VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.

Meanwhile, Turkey’s wire rod export prices for October shipment are standing at $440-450/mt FOB, versus $450-465/mt FOB offered last week.
