Having opened its domestic profile sales earlier today, October 20, Turkish mill Kardemir has closed them after receiving orders for approximately 80,000 mt. The list prices are shown below.
The producer announced its merchant bar prices on US dollar basis, increasing them by $15-35/mt depending on the product and size compared to its previous price list on Thursday, August 5. According to sources, it is rumored that the producer will start furnace maintenance works by the end of October or early November, for around three weeks. “The supplier has applied a very aggressive pricing policy, while special length orders are given for profiles, with the price extra rising by $20/mt over the same period, ” one source mentioned.
