Turkey’s Kardemir opens its wire rod sales

Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has opened its domestic wire rod sales, today, December 25. The company’s rebar and billet sales have also opened. Its previous wire rod price list was dated December 8.

Accordingly, Kardemir’s new price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod stands at TRY 5,660/mt ($747/mt) ex-works, while its 6-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is being offered at TRY 5,550/mt ($732/mt) ex-works. Producer’s wire rod prices indicated TRY 530/mt ($70/mt increase over two weeks.

The offer is valid for 500 mt and above orders, for cash payment basis and is subjected to 25 percent cash + %1.5 percent payment deferral for up to 90-day deferred payment basis.

Prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
