Today, June 23, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has only opened its sales of wire rod. The producer’s rebar and billet sales are still closed. Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod has been set at TRY 3,190/mt ($466/mt) ex-works, while its 6-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade has been offered at TRY 3,145/mt ($459/mt) ex-works, up by TRY 90/mt($9/mt) over the past two weeks . The abovementioned offers are valid for orders for 500 mt and higher, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral.
