Today, August 26, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has opened its wire rod sales on US dollar basis and closed them after a couple of hours. Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod was at $775/mt ex-works, while its 6-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade was offered at $760/mt ex-works. The producer were announced its previous wire rod list on Thursday,June 24. Sources report that the producer succeeded in selling around 10,000 mt, however the final tonnage has not confirmed by the time of publication.
