Today, September 9, Turkey’s Kardemir has increased its rebar prices by TRY 880/mt ($46/mt) to TRY 12,575/mt ($690/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT compared to its previous price list issued on Thursday, August 25. Most mills in the Izmir and Marmara regions are offering official rebar prices at $700-710/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S., while $10/mt discounts are applicable for serious buyers. “Kardemir’s rebar price is difficult to achieve under the current market conditions and the freight rate from Karabuk to other regions in the country is taken into account,” one source commented.
