Turkey’s Icdas revises its longs prices to offset currency fluctuations

Today, November 11, Turkish mill Icdas has raised its rebar price by TRY 230/mt to TRY 8,800/mt ($750/mt) ex-works since the beginning of this week, amid rapid currency fluctuations. The exchange rate was at $1 = TRY 9.69 on Monday, November 8.

The supplier has also issued its official wire rod price at TRY 9,970/mt ($850/mt) ex-works today, up by TRY 250/mt over the same period. The supplier has kept its official dollar-based longs prices unchanged.

Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while offers on US dollar basis do not.

$1 = TRY 9.94
