Turkey’s Icdas raises longs prices sharply in local currency as week ends

Today, December 3, Turkish mill Icdas has opened its official rebar sales at $750/mt ex-works, equal to TRY 12,210/mt at the current exchange rate, up by TRY 1,040/mt since the beginning of this week. In addition, the supplier’s wire rod prices in the local currency are available at $850/mt at the current exchange rate, up by TRY 1,180/mt to TRY 13,840/mt over the same period. The mill has kept its dollar-based prices stable over the past month. The exchange rate was at $1 = TRY 12.62 on Monday, November 29. The producer is expected to revise its official dollar-based longs prices by early next week in line with the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment.
