Today, August 13, Turkish steel producer Icdas has decreased its local longs prices in the national currency in order to keep its US dollar-based offer price levels stable. The rebar price went down by TRY 80/mt compared to Monday, August 9, to TRY 7,060/mt ex-works amid currency fluctuations and the silence on the demand side. The producer has also issued its wire rod price today at TRY 8,170/mt ex-works, down by TRY 90/mt over the same period. The producer has kept its dollar-based prices stable since the beginning of this week at $700/mt ex-works for rebar and $810/mt ex-works for wire rod.

Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while offers on US dollar basis do not.
