Today, Monday, May 3, Icdas has raised its rebar price by TRY 440/mt ($40/mt) to TRY 6,580/mt ($670/mt) ex-works. According to sources, the mill has made such a move due to higher scrap prices in the country, while also supported by lively export sales. China’s cancellation of the export tax rebates for longs is expected to temporarily support Turkish mills in their sales to Asia.
The producer has also issued its wire rod price at TRY 7,460/mt ($760/mt) ex-works, up by TRY 345/mt ($30/mt) on the same days.
Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while offers on US dollar basis do not.
