Turkish rebar and wire rod export prices have risen further since the end of last week amid the positive sentiment in the scrap and billet segments. As a result, this week some Turkish mills have started testing $780-800/mt FOB for rebar exports for August shipment, versus $750-770/mt FOB last week.

According to sources, small-tonnage rebar sales have been rumored to Israel at $780-790/mt FOB, though no deals have been confirmed by the time of publication.

In the local market, the general price ranges in the Marmara and İzmir region are available at $740-760/mt ex-works, while the spot rebar prices were available at $736-742/mt ex-warehouse as of May 17.

In the wire rod export segment, some mills have started the week with offers at $840-850 for August shipment, versus $800-815/mt FOB last week.
