Demand in the local Turkish rebar market is still at low levels. Buyers in the market are maintaining their wait-and-see stance as regards new purchases since they cannot predict the future trend of the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate.
Today, Turkish mill Icdas has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices stable at TRY 2,960/mt ($474/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has raised its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 42/mt to TRY 2,966/mt ($475/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.
