The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports remains $455/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries, the same as two weeks ago.
In July, Brazil exported 19,200 mt of rebar, while importing a mere 137 mt of the product.
The last offer of rebar received from China by Brazilian importers was priced at $532.50/mt, against $514.50/mt two weeks ago, CFR conditions to a port in the South or Southeast coast of the country, with reference to the QC/HRB400 grade.
In the domestic market, rebar is offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BRL 3,876/mt ($709/mt), against BRL 3,845/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s Southeast and South regions. For the North and Northeastern regions, prices are reportedly on the same price level, under the same conditions.
