SteelOrbis has been informed that buyers in the local Turkish rebar market are cautious due to the ongoing high volatility of the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate. As a result, they prefer to conclude purchases only in line with their needs. It is observed that domestic rebar prices in Turkey have increased significantly amid the record depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar, moving up by TRY 762-797/mt as compared to SteelOrbis’ report published on August 9.
