The last import rebar offer received from China by Brazilian importers was priced at $545/mt, against $535/mt one month ago, CFR conditions, in a port in the south or southeast coast of Brazil, referring to the QC/HRB400 grade.

In July, Brazil imported 5,800 mt of rebar from Turkey at $488/mt FOB conditions.

As for the Brazilian domestic rebar market, distributors in Rio de Janeiro are selling rebar in very small volumes in the domestic market at BRL 4,576/mt ($1,119/mt), slightly reduced from BRL 4,590/mt one month ago, full taxes and delivered to customer. That price, with reference to the CA-50 grade and 10mm diameter, can reportedly receive substantial discounts in case of large volumes or direct sales by steel producers.
