The last rebar offer received from China by Brazilian importers was priced at $560/mt, against $540/mt one month ago, CFR conditions, in a port in the south or southeast coast of Brazil, referring to the QC/HRB400 grade.
In March, Brazil imported 5,500 mt of rebar from Turkey at $524/mt, FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in January.
A small distributor in Rio de Janeiro told SteelOrbis that he is selling rebar in very small volumes in the domestic market at BRL 3,916/mt ($991/mt), against BRL 4,108/mt one month ago, full taxes and delivered to customer. That price level can reportedly receive substantial discounts for large volumes or direct sales by the steel producers.
