The last rebar offer received from China by Brazilian importers was priced at $555/mt, against $560/mt one month ago, CFR conditions, in a port in the south or southeast coast of Brazil, referring to the QC/HRB400 grade.

In April, Brazil imported a mere 46 mt of rebar from China, against 5,500 mt imported from Turkey in March.

A small distributor in Rio de Janeiro told SteelOrbis that he is selling rebar in very small volumes in the domestic market at BRL 3,916/mt ($974/mt), full taxes and delivered to customer, a price stable in BRL from one month ago. Such price can receive substantial discounts in case of large volumes or direct sales by steel producers.
