Rebar export prices maintain stability in Brazil

For the fifth consecutive week, Brazilian producers remain negotiating rebar for export at $590/mt, FOB conditions, with the CA-50 grade as reference.

According to a local exporter, the price scenario is unchanged, as high production costs remain squeezing margins, and the competitiveness of Brazilian rebar remains limited to markets in Latin America and the US.

In October, ArcelorMittal exported rebars at $509/mt, Gerdau at $419/mt and Votorantim at $527/mt, all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in August.
