Brazilian producers remain negotiating rebar for export in a range of $580/mt to $590/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, the same price range as last week, a local source told SteelOrbis.
In June, ArcelorMittal exported 25,000 mt of rebars at $575/mt, while Gerdau exported 15,000 mt at $592/mt, both FOB conditions with price deals probably closed in April. The volume was entirely shipped to South American countries and include different quality grades. Some of the South American clients include companies associated with the steel producers, with prices not necessarily linked to market conditions.
