Brazilian producers remain negotiating rebar for export at $590/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, a reference price stable on weekly basis, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

In May, ArcelorMittal exported 25,100 mt of rebar at $577/mt, while Gerdau exported 19,100 mt at $590/mt, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in March.

Most of the volume was shipped to South America and include different quality grades. Some of the South American clients include companies associated with the steel producers, with prices not necessarily linked to market conditions.
