Brazilian producers are negotiating rebar for export at $640/mt, FOB conditions, a local exporter told SteelOrbis. The price is stable over two weeks.

The source mentioned that exports are now all destined to other Latin American countries, where the favorable logistics allow for a price a little higher than international prices.

In February, Brazil exported 33,000 mt of rebar, 43 percent less than in February, all destined to South America.

ArcelorMittal exported 22,900 mt at $545/mt, Gerdau exported 9,600 mt at $566/mt, and Votorantim exported 500 mt at $577/mt, all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in December 2017.
