Brazilian producers are negotiating rebars for export at $580/mt, FOB conditions, a local exporter told SteelOrbis. The price, referred to the CA-50 grade, is now stable over four consecutive weeks.

In May, Brazil exported 44,600mt of rebars (against 54,300mt in April).

The main exporters were ArcelorMittal (25,100mt at $577/mt) and Gerdau (19,100mt at $590/mt), both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in March.

The main destinations were Bolivia (19,200mt at $579/mt), Colombia (7,000mt at $575/mt), Peru (6,100mt at $575/mt), Argentina (5,200mt at $623/mt), Puerto Rico (5,000mt at $568/mt) and Paraguay (1,700mt at $586/mt), while smaller volumes were shipped to Angola and Uruguay.
