Brazilian producers are negotiating rebars for export at $620/mt, FOB conditions, a local exporter told SteelOrbis. The price compares with $640/mt last week, which had been stable for several weeks.

In March, Brazil exported 52,900 mt of rebar, 60 percent more than in February.

ArcelorMittal exported 31,300 mt at $556/mt, Gerdau exported 19,000 mt at $534/mt and Votorantim exported 2,600 mt at $573/mt, all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in January.

The destinations for Brazilian rebar in March were South American countries (42,900 mt) and the US (10,000 mt).
