For the third consecutive week, Brazilian producers remain negotiating rebar for export in a price range of $580/mt to $590/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, a local market source told SteelOrbis.

In December, Gerdau exported 23,800 mt of rebar, in average at $550/mt, while ArcelorMittal exported 15,300 mt at $606/mt, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in October. All the volume of rebar exported from Brazil in December was destined to South American countries.
