The reference price Brazilian rebar exports continues to trend at $535/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, stable from last week.

The current price level, which experienced a reduction of $15/mt two weeks ago, reflects attempts by Brazilian producers to offer prices compatible with international markets, as importers in South America were receiving offers with more competitive prices at CFR conditions.

In January, Brazil exported 42,200 mt of rebar, almost entirely destined to South American countries, except for small volumes shipped to the US and Jamaica.
