Brazilian producers remain negotiating wire rod of the mesh grade for export to South American countries in a price range of $630/mt to $660/mt FOB, the same range as last week, a local market source told SteelOrbis.

The source maintains expectations for slight variations in prices in the short term, reflecting the recent movements of the BRL/USD exchange rate, with a variation of 11 percent in less than 30 days.

In September, wire rod of the mesh grade was exported from Brazil at an estimated $668/mt, FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in July.
