Brazilian producers are negotiating rebar for export in a price range of $590/mt to $600/mt, against a range of $570/mt to $590/mt last week, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, a local source told SteelOrbis.

The source mentioned that the reference price range is for sales to South American countries only, today the main destination of the Brazilian rebar exports.

In August, ArcelorMittal exported 32,800mt of rebars from Brazil, in average at $572/mt, while Gerdau exported 10,100mt at $564/mt, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in June.

The volume of August was almost entirely shipped to South American countries.
