Brazilian producers remain negotiating rebar for export to South American countries at $540/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, a reference price now stable over the last four weeks, a local market source told SteelOrbis.

In August, Brazil exported 35,300 mt of rebar in average at $534/mt, FOB conditions, with different quality grades and price deals probably closed in June.

Brazilian rebar producers remain focused on exports to South American countries, as an alternative to compensate for the poor demand from the domestic civil construction sector.
