As a result of the decreases recorded in global rebar quotations last week, Greek rebar export prices have lost their attractiveness and the competitive power of Greek rebar mills have received a blow. Thus, Greek rebar producers have stopped giving rebar export offers to the international markets.

The most recent rebar offers from Greece to the international markets were at €500-510/mt ($565-576/mt) FOB last week. However, SteelOrbis has been informed that rebar export offers from southern Europe to the international markets are currently at more attractive levels, standing in the range of €460-470/mt ($520-531/mt) FOB.
