Brazilian producers are negotiating rebar for export to South American countries in a price range of $600/mt to $610/mt FOB for the CA-50 grade, the same as last week, a local market source told SteelOrbis.

The source mentioned that rebar exports from Brazil remain focused in South American countries, as local producers cannot compete in the international markets due to high production costs, chiefly those related with electric energy.

In September, Brazil exported 42,300 mt of rebar, all destined to South American countries.
