US rebar buyers are still on the lookout for import deals that are attractive enough to mitigate the risk of buying for future arrival amid extreme uncertainty. Although while lower import rebar offers from Turkey and Mexico have been heard in the last week, some buyers say they can wait for prices to drop a little further.

US import rebar offers from Turkey and Mexico are now heard in the range of $28.00-$29.00 cwt. ($617-$639/mt or $560-$580/nt) DDP loaded truck at US Gulf ports and DDP Houston, respectively, reflecting a $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt) in the last week.
