Local Turkish wire rod prices mostly stable, demand moderate

Domestic wire rod prices in Turkey have remained stable on March 30 in most regions of the country. Only the producers based in the Iskenderun region have increased their offers, by $17.5/mt on average, SteelOrbis has learned. In the meantime, according to sources, around 13,000-14,000 mt of SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod of diameter above 6.5 mm were traded a day earlier in the Izmir region at $670/mt ex-works, currently marking the lowest price level seen in the market. Most mills are offering for May-early June production.

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude 18 percent VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.
