Local Turkish wire rod prices mostly stable

Turkish domestic wire rod prices have remained relatively stable over the past week, supported by firm scrap prices, although demand for wire rod is still insufficient. “I do not even check wire rod prices as I am on hold for new purchases,” one source mentioned. In the Izmir region, wire rod producers are trying to increase their prices slightly due to the lack of supply of certain sizes. Material is mostly being offered either from stock or for June deliveries. However, in the Iskenderun region longer delivery terms are applicable.

Currently, the local offers for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on the actual weight basis, excluding 18 percent VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.
