Local Turkish wire rod prices increase sharply

Local Turkish wire rod prices have risen by $15-20/mt over the past week due to the positive sentiment in the scrap segment.

Most Turkish mills are offering wire rod for late October-November delivery. Sources report that relatively quicker deliveries are available for serious buyers. Moreover, phased deliveries are still valid for previous bookings. Some buyers are restocking wire rod in order to avoid extended delivery times.

Currently, the local offers for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:
