Local Turkish wire rod prices increase

As of today, July 1, Turkish domestic wire rod prices have mainly increased by $10-45/mt to $665-690/mt ex-works compared to Tuesday, June 28, for July-August deliveries, against the backdrop of the relatively positive sentiment in the scrap segment and currency fluctuations, while a limited tonnage is available from stocks depending on the size and quality. One Iskenderun-based issued its official wire rod prices at $650/mt ex-works and has closed its wire rod sales today, while another mill in the region has also closed its wire rod sales today, after selling a small tonnage of wire rod at $680/mt ex-works yesterday. Moreover, yesterday Kardemir also closed its wire rod sales, which it had opened its 6-27 mm wire rod of mesh grade wire rod at at $625/mt ex-works on Tuesday June 28.
