Turkish domestic wire rod prices have increased by $25/mt in the Iskenderun region over the last two days. One mill in the Thrace region has closed its longs sales today, March 11, while one Izmir-based mill is currently offering wire rod at $1,020/mt ex-works, while it had closed its wire rod sales on Tuesday, March 9. Most prices are for May delivery and are influenced by ongoing currency fluctuations and higher prices in the import scrap and billet segments.

One Iskenderun-based mill hiked its official wire rod price by $25/mt to $1,125/mt ex-works for May delivery yesterday. Another mill in the region is keeping its wire rod sales until next week.
