Local Turkish wire rod market continues its rising movement

SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that local producers’ price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes. 

Domestic wire rod prices in Turkey have moved up during the past week amid the rises seen in global scrap and billet quotations and also as Turkish steel producers’ order books are fairly full. Meanwhile, market sources state that buyers are continuing their domestic wire rod purchases due to their expectations of a further rise in prices.
