Local Turkish rebar spot prices stable except in Izmir region

Despite the general sideways movement observed in other regions, rebar spot prices in Turkey’s İzmir region have decreased by TRY 10/mt ($1-2/mt) today, January 17, mainly due to the weakness of demand and an Izmir-based Turkish producer’s decision to cut its sales price. No fresh deal is heard as the week ends.

Today, Turkish mill Icdas has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices at $451/mt ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) has reduced its prices for the same product by $10/mt to $441/mt. Prices exclude 18 percent VAT.

As of today, rebar offers in the local Turkish spot market are as follows:

All prices are ex-warehouse and on actual weight basis. Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while prices on US dollar basis exclude VAT.
