Local Turkish rebar spot prices soften on lira basis

Today, November 12, spot rebar prices in Turkey have softened by TRY 20-90/mt. As of today, 12 mm spot rebar prices have settled within the range of TRY 4,410-4,550/mt, but on US dollar basis prices have increased from yesterday’s levels of $479-483/mt ex-warehouse to $487-492/mt, depending on the region.

On the other hand, Icdas’s rebar offers have remained at TRY 4,550/mt, but have again increased on dollar basis due to the change in the exchange rate to $502/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate, while Marmara-based producers’ rebar offers are in the range of $485-502/mt ex-works. In Izmir, IDC and another mill have offered rebar at $497/mt ex-works today.  In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. has opened its rebar sales at TRY 4,500/mt ($497/mt) ex-work, while Samsun-based Yesilyurt has offered TRY 4,550/mt ($502/mt) ex-works for rebar.

All prices are ex-warehouse and on actual weight basis. Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while prices on US dollar basis exclude VAT.
