Local Turkish rebar spot prices have indicated an overall TRY17/mt increase except in the Izmir region today, December 3, due to strong scrap import prices and positive sentiment in line with firm scrap import prices.
Today, Turkish mill Icdas has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices at TRY 2,508/mt ($436/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has also kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices at TRY 2,500/mt ($435 mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT. SteelOrbis has heard that, today, Kardemir recently sold approximately 10,000 mt at TRY 2,495/mt ($434/mt) excluding VAT. This price is also in line with the other Turkish mills’ prices.
