Local Turkish rebar spot prices have moved sideways as no fresh import scrap deals have been reported. The week has started with rebar demand still being insufficient and business being very quiet.
Today, January 20, Turkish mills Icdas and Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) have not changed their 12-32 mm rebar offers, which have remained at TRY 3,120/mt and TRY 3,050/mt ex-works, respectively. However, their prices weakened by $2/mt on US dollar basis to $449/mt ex-works and $439/mt ex-works amid currency fluctuations.
