Local Turkish rebar spot prices mostly move up, except in Karabuk

Domestic rebar prices in Turkey have mostly moved slightly up today, October 8, due to the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. However, in Turkey’s Karabuk region, rebar prices have remained stable on lira basis.

Meantime, today, Turkish mill Icdas has increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 25/mt ($4/mt) to TRY 2,398/mt ($413/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has also increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 59/mt ($10/mt) to TRY 2,398/mt ($413/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.

As of today, rebar offers in the Turkish spot market are as follows:
