Local Turkish rebar spot prices mostly indicate another rise

Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mostly increased by TRY 10/mt ($2/mt) today, July 22, thought prices in the Iskenderun region have remained stable, leading to a $1/mt increase in dollar-based quotations amid the slight change in the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate. As a result, 12 mm rebar prices in the Turkish spot market have settled in the range of TRY 3,490-3,520/mt ($432-436/mt) ex-warehouse, depending on the region.

Icdas has once again kept its rebar prices stable today at TRY 3,480/mt ($431/mt) ex-works, while Diler’s rebar offers are at TRY 3,550/mt ($440/mt) ex-works. The other two Marmara-based producers are offering rebar to their domestic market at $435-440/mt ex-works.

Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) has set its domestic rebar offers to TRY 3,515/mt ($435/mt) ex-works, as of today, while another İzmir-based mill has offered rebar at TRY 3,470/mt ($430/mt) ex-works.

In Turkey’s Iskenderun region, Koc Metalurji has announced its domestic rebar prices at TRY 3,570/mt ($442/mt) ex-works, while Bastug’s quotations are at TRY 3,560/mt ($441/mt) ex-works.

Lastly, rebar offers of Yolbulan A.S. in the Karabuk region are at TRY 3,530/mt ($437/mt) ex-works.

 All prices are ex-warehouse and on actual weight basis. Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while prices on US dollar basis exclude VAT.
