Today, June 18, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mainly dropped by TRY 10/mt ($2/mt) to TRY 3,420-3,470/mt ($422-429/mt) ex-warehouse depending on the region. In the Marmara region, rebar spot prices have remained unchanged for now. In the producers’ segment, offers have been kept at TRY 3,470-3,520/mt ($429-435/mt) ex-works, while trade has been minimal lately, taking into account that a lot of buyers have already restocked. In addition, import scrap prices have weakened in the most recent deal, which has caused rebar customers to take a step back from purchases and watch the market development, SteelOrbis understands.
