While demand in the local Turkish rebar market is still at low levels, domestic rebar prices in Turkey have increased slightly today, October 2, due to the Turkish lira losing strength against the US dollar.
Meantime, today, Turkish mill Icdas has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices at TRY 2,373/mt ($415/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 17/mt to TRY 2,373/mt ($415/mt) ex-works, both excluding 18 percent VAT. Meanwhile, market sources report that Turkish rebar mills are offering discounts of TRY 20-40/mt (including VAT) for serious buyers.
