Today, February 24, spot prices in the Turkish domestic rebar market have increased by TRY 140-150/mt ($3-5/mt), amid stronger scrap prices and currency fluctuations. As of today, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are at TRY 5,320-5,350/mt or $629-632/mt ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Icdas has increased its rebar price by TRY 150/mt to TRY 5,350/mt ($632/mt), up by $1/mt on US dollar basis compared to this morning. Most Marmara-based mills are currently offering rebar at TRY 5,415/mt ($640/mt) ex-works.
Most mills in the Izmir region are offering rebar at TRY 5,350-5,415/mt ($632-640/mt) ex-works.
In the Iskenderun region, Bastug A.S. opened its rebar sales today at TRY 5,380/mt ($636/mt) ex-works and Koc Metallurgy opened its rebar sales at TRY 5,350/mt ($632/mt) ex-works. Both mills closed their rebar sales in the afternoon, while one re-roller in this region is currently offering rebar at TRY 5,380/mt ($636/mt) ex-warehouse.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt has opened its rebar sales at TRY 5,450/mt ($644/mt) ex-works. In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan has opened its rebar sales at TRY 5,400/mt ($638/mt) ex-works today.
