Today, July 2, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased only in the Iskenderun region by TRY 20/mt. The general range in Turkey is now at TRY 3,360-3,420/mt ($416-423/mt) ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Most mills in the Izmir and Marmara regions are currently offering rebar at TRY 3,380-3,430/mt ($418-424/mt) ex-works. According to sources, the total tonnage traded yesterday in Marmara was 15,000 mt at TRY 3,360/mt ($416/mt) ex-works, versus 5,000 mt at TRY 3,400 ($421/mt) ex-works discussed in the market previously.
In the Iskenderun region, Koc Metalurgy A.S. has increased its rebar price by TRY 20/mt ($2/mt) to TRY 3,470/mt ($429/mt) ex-works. The reason for traders’ current price increase in the region is the imbalance between supply and demand in this region, SteelOrbis has learned.
