Local Turkish rebar spot prices increase in local currency due to higher scrap

Local rebar spot prices in Turkey have increased today, November 6, due to higher import scrap quotations recorded in the latest deals.

Today, Turkish mill Icdas has increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 17/mt ($2/mt) to TRY 2,475/mt ($430/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 51/mt ($8/mt) to TRY 2,483/mt ($432 mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT. Additionally, market sources report that Turkish rebar mills are offering discounts of TRY 20-40/mt including VAT for serious buyers.
